With much sadness, we announce the passing of our co-founder and dear friend, Richard J. Riordan. Dick was not only an outstanding civic leader and philanthropist, but also a beacon of fairness and generosity for our firm and for everyone who knew him.
He loved life, loved people, and worked tirelessly to make the world a better place. His civic engagements included serving two terms as Mayor of Los Angeles from 1993 to 2001 and co-founding the LA Sports & Entertainment Commission. His impact as a philanthropist was even greater and will continue through the work of The Riordan Foundation, which has long supported increased educational opportunities for undeserved youth in K-12 schools and college.
Dick’s values will continue to inspire all of us at RLH. On behalf of our entire team, we mourn his loss and extend our deepest sympathies to his family.
