When it comes to complex and challenging matters of accounting, Hugh is our go-to guy. Why? Because he has all the right perspectives, having served as a Big4 audit partner responsible for relationships with a number of Fortune500-sized enterprises, as a senior executive in the professional services sector, and as an independent director.
Hugh is a Certified Public Accountant who spent his entire professional career with Ernst & Young (and its predecessors). He held several leadership positions at EY, including nine years as Vice Chairman and Regional Managing Partner for the Western United States, where he was responsible for 200 partners, 2,000 employees, and 19 offices. He also served for over a decade as a member of the firm’s 15-member Management Committee.
He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Tetra Tech, Inc. (Nasdaq: TTEK), a former RLH portfolio company, which is a leading provider of consulting, engineering and technical services with gross revenues in excess of $2 billion. Mr. Grant has also served as chairman of audit committees for numerous other companies and not-for-profit enterprises.
When he’s not sharing his wisdom on financial matters, Hugh finds time for fitness training and at least a few rounds of golf.
